History

Arbor House is no longer a functioning press.

This once vibrant press was founded by publishing legend Donald I. Fine, in 1969. Arbor House was sold to the Hearst Corporation in 1978. It then became an imprint of William Morrow and Company in 1987, which itself became an imprint of the HarperCollins group.

In its day, Arbor House published such award winning authors as William Gibson and Bruce Sterling.
