The Definitive 1950s SF Reading Challenge
The goal of this challenge is to read, in order, a book from each year of the 1950s, as specified in the Defining SF Books of the 1950s list.
The schedule is relaxed - it's more of an ongoing project than an actual challenge - and rereads are permitted, since it's possible you have already read everything in a given year.
This is the first part of the Super-Epic Defining Books Reading Challenge. I'll add a 60s challenge when people start to get towards the end of the 50s.
Note that you must do the reading in order, starting with 1950 and ending with 1959. If you read a 1953 book before your 1952 book, it doesn't count. I mean, I can't actually police that, but I might frown slightly if I notice.
The challenge now has reading levels. The Foundationer level is the standard 10-book chronological challenge. If you take on the lower Time Trader level, you should still try to read books from different years in chronological order. The higher levels are simply to allow some extra reading in addition to the core ten books. In no way are they just an excuse to use Double Star as a level title for the double-sized challenge.
