Shelter - Susan Palwick
WoGF (my random pick)

Half a King - Joe Abercrombie
Fantasia

The Healer's War - Elizabeth Ann Scarborough
WoGF
Pick&Mix (Easton)

The Time Ships - Stephen Baxter
12 in 12 (PKD)
Sequel
Guardian
Read More

And that's it for July. A pretty strong and varied month, including the two longest books left on my list (Time Ships and Shelter).

Challenge standings:
WoGF 11/12
Book Ones 12/12
Masterworks 7/12
12 in 12 7/12
Second Best 7/12
Sequel 7/12
EotW 8/12
Elizabeth Noun 2/3
Guardian 6/7
Read More 6/12
Fantasia 9/12
Pick&Mix 12/12

Two challenges completed, and the only one I'm definitely behind on is Read More of that Author, which I think is likely to be the one I'm rushing to finish come December.

I loved Children of God, as I did its predecessor, The Sparrow. To my surprise, I loved Remnant Population. It made me weep! I also read most of Slow River, by Nicola Griffith, but I didn't finish it until 8/1, so it will go on next months list

The stats:
I Just Have to Read... 12/12 :-)
Grand Master 8/12
LGBT 9/12
MasterWorks 10/12
WoGF 10/12
2nd Best 10/12
Fantasia 12/12 :-)
Elizabeth Noun 2/3
12 Awards in 12 Months 5/12
The Number ...3 4/9

26 virtual books to go,16 actual. I've only posted one review from last months list. I have two others written but not yet posted, and 4 unfinished.

Have to Read More: 7/12

WoGF: 5/12
Fantasia: 8/12
In Translation: 2/12

2nd Best: 8/12
Short Fiction 2/12
End of the World 9/12
Guardian List 4/7

A bit behind, I'm still picking books for some lists so I'm not sure how many actual books I have to complete. In Translation and Short Stories look vulnerable.

56 actual books
191/237 slots

I loved The Golem and the Jinni, China Mountain Zhang and Redwood and Wildfire. Hollow City and Broken Homes were very good sequels in their respective series. The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms was a big disappointment to me.
I think I have 18 more actual books to read. Most of them are in the AoC category which fulfill other challenges as well. However, school begins soon, so there will be no more 13 book months for me! Luckily, most of the long books, except for Drood, are completed.
