Random quote: We will not know our own injustice if we cannot imagine justice. We will not be free if we do not imagine freedom. We cannot demand that anyone try to attain justice and freedom who has not had a chance to imagine them as attainable. -- Ursula Le Guin (The Wave in the Mind) - (Added by: gallyangel) |

Thanks to whoever's added the Modern Masters of Science Fiction series! Could we get Bujold and Egan added, too?

Could we get Bujold and Egan added, too? The Bujold is in. The list I was working from didn't have it yet. Their will be more books in this series. Undoubted taking several years to finish publishing them.

Fluency, by Jennifer Foehner Wells I've just gotten this through my library, and it looks really interesting -- 4.2 average on 1,650 Amazon reviews.

It's in. Thankfully it doesn't happen ofter, needing to put in both an author and a publisher. I could find nothing on this publisher. Zip. Nada. With more access like this micro-publishers like this will undoubted become more common.

Thanks for that. Well, I really enjoyed it. Actually, I thought it was great -- except for the sex scene on pages 244-246, which had me rolling my eyes, and which you may or may not want to skip. I love sex -- but in person, not in my SFF. Heinlein, Shepard, Delany, et al -- I have yet to see any SFF writer who I think does it well, such that it doesn't just detract from the plot and the action. Felix Palma's second book, The Map of the Sky (his first book is already here) Thanks! His second and third books are now in. Number two was the second of a trilogy, with the third coming out this year. I updated the first book to reflect this.

Starclimber Thanks! They're in. Sounds like interesting steampunk. They also remind me of Miyazaki's early work - Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Excellent movie. i wouldn't be surprised if there was influence or inspiration there.

It's a wonder what can get done when you have no interruptions and hobbit music booming from the speakers. What is it with the Brits and parody fiction? They seem to do it far better than the americans.

Great historical fiction, and fantastic parody. Thanks all for the help.
