jontlaw - 2016-09-07 6:10 AM Thanks for that. Since we were on the topic, I double checked my shelf and found a few more that I have by Bradbury, but you/we don't. I couple of them may be less SF than just fiction, but I want to toss them out there. Let's All Kill Constance We'll Always Have Paris Green Shadows, White Whale Cat's Pajamas Thanks

The top one is apparently a non-genre novel. The rest is in.

Can you add some books by Jon Courtenay Grimwood please? They all belong to a very loose series called Cyber Noir, and the books are:

neoAddix (1997)
Lucifer's Dragon (1998)
reMix (1999)
redRobe (2000)

RedRobe is already in the database, but as a standalone book.

Could you please add The Push by Dave Hutchinson? It's a hard SF novel from 2009. I just finished Europe In Autumn, and The Push is going firmly on my TBR.

It is in. Might be a bit hard to get hold of though. It looks like a limited edition to me.

Yes indeed, I've noticed the prices for second hand copies are quite steep. It's also a novella, so I guess I'll drop it for now, and wait for it to be published again, somewhere, sometime...

Didnt know where else to put this query except here. Not sure why.or what I did wrong,but I have read 57 books for my Pick n' Mix challenge,which are several more than my Books Read 2016 total.The following books dont have a box to tick for Books Read 2016;

Isaac Asimov - The Currents of Space
C J Cherryh - Heavy Time
C J Cherryh - Hellburner
Roald Dahl - James and the Giant Peach
Robert A Heinlein - Orphans of the Sky
Jack Williamson - Dark Than You Think
Connie Willis - Doomsday Book
Roger Zelazny - Roadmarks
Having a slow reading year anyway,so I need to add every book I can! lol.

Can you put this question in the Report Errors forum? It's not really something I can help you with and Dave keeps a closer eye on that forum.

That's because you've chosen 50 books as your level for the Books Read This Year: 2016 challenge. Set your level up to 100 or 150, and then you'll be able to add these.

Can you add 'Armageddon In Retrospect' by Kurt Vonnegut? I'm not sure it qualifies for WWE. It's a collection of short stories, one speech and a biographical introduction on Kurt by his son Mark. Only one of the stories is explicitly speculative (it has a time machine). The rest does read as an excellent (partly nonfictional) companion to Slaughterhouse-Five, as certain stories deal with the bombing of Dresden too. It was published a year after Kurt's death.

Just finished it. Also the title story is firmly speculative, and a case can be made for "The Unicorn Trap" too. "Great Day", the story with the time machine, is set in 2037.

I have a few for the roll your own reading challenge women of genre fiction:

Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace
The May Queen Murders by Sarah Jude
The Little Woods and The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman
Julia Vanishes by Catherine Egan
The Last One by Alexandra Oliva (which may be a bit iffy for genre fiction but I think it's dark enough to appease post apocalypse horror fans - I leave that decision up to you guys)

Thanks!

This one is in. Sorry for the delay, I'm a bit busy with other stuff at the moment.

Your batch is a complicated one. Lots of people not in the database. I added the Wallace but I don't have time to sort the others out today. Will look at it next week.

For the Tor.com short fiction challenge, could you add the new N.K. Jemisin story "The City Born Great"?
http://www.tor.com/2016/09/28/the-city-born-great/

(I didn't know whether to request it or whether the new stories would be added as par for the course?)

Ok all of of these are in now except The Little Woods. I put that one up for discussion in the uberuser forum. Don't really see much in the way of speculative content in the description.

In retrospect, LITTLE WOODS is much more thriller/mystery. There's a vague hint of supernatural but likely not enough to qualify it.

Thanks again for entering the rest
