I was wondering if anyone has read this series. It was suggested by my cousin. I'm still very much the neophyte in the fantasy genre. It hasn't won or have been nominated for any awards - I guess that's why they are not on WWEnd, but reviews suggest it is worth a read (and perhaps inclusion in WWEnd). It seems the series also garnered critical praise from Steven Erikson (not that this automatically make it a good read, of course).

Before I order the two volumes (or embark on my own epic quest down avenues of secondhand bookstore to find the individial titles), some feedback, if any, will be welcomed.

As it is, I am ever so often challenged with reading works that are not listed on WWEnd. And that's hard to do

I've not read any of Paul Kearney's books so I can't recommend them but I'll add them to the database this weekend if that will make it easier for you to read them

Hawkwood and the KingsCentury of the Soldier

Done deal. I went with the omnibus editions that came out last year instead of the 5 separate volumes.  Whilst I was at it, I added Kearney's other 2 series as well:  The Sea Beggars and  The Macht.

I bought both, thanks. Now I can read them

If they are as good as I was led to believe, I may just promote them a little via an erudite review

I'm really enjoying the Century of the Soldier. Books 3 and 4 in the series is top class. When done, perhaps a review
