Biography

Nancy Fulda is a past Hugo and Nebula Nominee, a Phobos Award winner and a Vera Hinckley Mayhew Award recipient. She is also a recipient of the Jim Baen Memorial Award. Her fiction has appeared in Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, Apex Digest, Daily Science Fiction, and other professional venues. She has been a featured writer at Apex Online, a guest on the Writing Excuses podcast, and is a regular attendee of the Villa Diodati Writers' Workshop. Nancy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University in 2002, and a Master's Degree from the same university in 2004. Her research emphasis was artificial intelligence and machine learning, and her research papers on multi-agent systems have been presented at several IEEE conferences. She graduated with University Honors.From 2005 to 2010 she worked as an assistant editor of Jim Baen's Universe, one of the highest-paying speculative fiction markets of its time. From 2008 to 2009 she was the website content editor for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. She is the owner, web developer, and managing editor of AnthologyBuilder.

Nancy is the mother of three children, an avid ballroom dance fan, and an amateur artist. She has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. She will continue doing so for the foreseeable future.
