Triangle: Imzadi II

The original Imzadi novel by Peter David was a delight. Normally, I enjoy David's Star Trek novels. But sadly, Triangle: Imzadi II, is a muddled mess. The plot is unnecessarily convoluted to the point of confusion. The characterizations for the most part don't ring true. The writing ranges from mediocre to bad. There were a few passages of enjoyment, but not many. I was very anxious to finish Imzadi II, to get it over with; I wasn't having a very pleasurable experience. Peter David can do better than this. Much better. For Imzadi II I got the sense that he was just phoning it in. From very far away.
