Another book by Alfred Bester that I just didn't enjoy.
An interesting setup (murder in the times of telepathy), a great conflict (how would you go about proving your case in court when all you have is telepathic non-admissible evidence of the murderer's mind), an interesting society.
I can recognize this as a great, probably seminal work (first winner ever of the Hugo award) but just didn't like it.
One more point: The love story felt very forced, inappropriate / pedophilic for modern tastes. I'd prefer to skip these parts.
Can't recommend it.
