The Mercy of Gods

I was lucky to get this book early before readers put massive numbers of library holds on it. Don't go in expecting The Expanse, it's a different universe & a different story with different set of characters a new viewpoint. The writing style is similar, smoothly flowing & keeping the story moving; there were no real slowdowns. I gave it four stars, as I liked the story & how it was put together. The one thing that might have been lacking some was in-depth character-building. But it's clearly written as the first of a series & I think that will develop over time.
