The Lies of Locke Lamora

What an excellent debut novel. This man can write. I hope the rest of the series holds true. Locke Lamora is a villain, thief, charlatan, con man and murderer all rolled into one package. He is also one of the most likeable characters I have read. It is impossible not to root for him. This is an adventure with violence, mystique, and plenty of action. Absolutely no love interest to get in the way. It also has surprising fatalities that tug at your heart. Well worth the read.
