I enjoyed this collection of stories celebrating DAW's 30th Anniversary. The introduction was fantastic, giving a history of how DAW came to be. All the authors were previously published with DAW so there were some nice entries from some of their big names. C.J.Cherryh (Alliance-Union), Julie Czerneda (Webshifters), Kate Elliott (Jaran), eluki bes shahar (Hellflower), Frederik Pohl (Heechee) and Lisanne Norman (Sholan Alliance) all had great stories taking place in their established Universes. I particularly liked C.S. Friedman's "Downtime" about our responsibilities to our aging parents, Timothy Zahn's "The Big Picture" and Charles Harness' "Station Ganymede" dealing with a father/son relationship which were all emotionally stirring. Overall, this definitely a worthwhile read for sci-fi fans.
