The Salt Roads

I'm not a huge fan of erotic fantasy, and the actual "fantasy" elements of this book are pretty minor. For the most part, this is a well-written historical fiction novel that uses briefs interludes with a supernatural/mythic being to tie together three different stories. I"m not sure it really held together for me; the choice of characters/timelines/events didn't feel fully connected, but this isn't my type of book, so I have difficulty assessing. It's very well-written and it's a unique approah to both erotic and historical ficiton, so may be worth checking out for those who like those genres.
