I seesawed between a three and four star review for Revival. It is well written and as gripping as many of Stephen King's novels. Jamie Morton is an engaging and "truthful" narrator and the Frankenstein thread running through the plot is well played if rather well worn too. To some degree it felt like a series of vignettes and it is very nihilistic. King is well known for his willingness to explore dark places but this novel is pretty penumbral. Not recommended for depressives.
